DPD Enterprises began operations in 2007 after assuming the clients of an existing Private Postal Centre. DPD Enterprises provide local mailing and delivery addresses in New Providence. DPD Enterprises also clears mailboxes from the local post offices and provides home and or office delivery and forwarding to any address in the world where there is a Post Office. Recently DPD Enterprises looked at ways it could help improve commerce and communication within New Providence and Paradise Island utilizing its existing infrastructure and realized that there is a need to provide One Day Delivery with real time tracking in order for individuals and organizations to have their “time sensitive items” delivered where both sides, the originator of the package and the receiver of the package, would be able to follow the progress of the package until confirmed receipt. DPD Enterprises also noticed that there are lots of local merchants providing online services who needed to have their clients’ parcels delivered once the sale had been completed without the need for the customer to leave the comforts of their homes in order to retrieve their purchases.
